How do I connect with the participants who require Therapy Assistance or Mentoring?

At Just Therapy we strongly believe in choice and control for our participants. Therefore they gain access to look at all of our Therapy Assistant and Mentors profiles and choose who they would like to support them. All of our participants will be required to register through us to protect employee confidentiality. Please note that due to this process, we cannot guarantee a start date. If you are selected to support the participant, one of our team members will get in touch with you to discuss the next step.

Are my personal details and worker profile visible to the general public?

No. Anyone looking for support must first contact us and only if suitable we allow them access to view our Therapy Assistants professional profiles to choose the person they would like to work with. They will not have access to any of your personal details.

Where are the therapy sessions held?

The participants choose a location in which they would like the session to be held. Again, this promotes choice and control which is important to the success, capacity building and independence of the participants. The participants may want to have sessions at home, school, community centres or the supervising therapists’ rooms.

How long are the sessions?

The sessions are minimum 1 hour however the participant may require more, and this is negotiable between yourself and the participant.

How much involvement does the supervising therapist have?

This will depend on the therapist. Each therapist will have a different model and you will need to be flexible to accommodate the participant under the guidance of the therapist. Our technology has the capability for ongoing reporting which will support the participant in the review process and can keep the supervising therapist up to date with progress.

How often do I get paid?

We have a fortnightly pay cycle.

Do I get paid for travelling to and from appointments?

Yes. You can be paid a maximum of 30 minutes travel time to appointments and 30 minutes from appointments in metropolitan areas. You can also be paid for up to 1 hour travel time to inner regional areas.

Can Therapy Assistants also work as Mentors?

Yes, you can apply for both positions via the Apply Now page.

Just Therapy is committed to providing participants with high quality Therapy Assistants.
